The vanRaam OPair wheelchair bike is built around one idea: that the passenger should feel as comfortable and secure as the rider. The seat is depth-adjustable to suit different body shapes, with an angle-adjustable backrest and expandable side rests. Foldable footrests make getting settled easy, and the slightly angled front wheels provide added stability and a smoother, more comfortable ride. The seat can be configured to suit both children and smaller adults, and a fully custom seat can be fitted if required. For passengers who need additional support, a headrest, belt, and further fixation options are all available.
A bike and a wheelchair in one
One of the most practical features of the vanRaam OPair wheelchair bike is the divisible frame option. With this fitted, the front section detaches easily from the cycling component and can be used independently as a wheelchair at your destination. No transfer, no separate wheelchair to transport, no extra effort.
Intelligent assistance built in
The OPair bike is equipped with vanRaam’s Silent System electric pedal assist, making longer distances and hillier routes much more manageable. Near-silent, individually programmable, and with automatic lighting when the assist is switched on. The reverse function makes parking and manoeuvring in tighter spaces easy.
Make it yours
Choose your colour and configure the OPair wheelchair bike around the passenger’s needs. Add a headrest, a belt, foot fixation, a child seat, or a split frame. Every bike is built to your specification, by hand, at the vanRaam factory in Varsseveld.
